Intercultural Communication in Business: Theory and Practice

Monday December 6, 2021 4:00pm 5:00pm

In a globalized world, abroad and at home, understanding how cultural differences influence business activities and strategies is critical. This session will provide a framework to analyze cultural differences to avoid tensions and systemic misunderstanding within multicultural teams. Through mini case studies, participants will practice how to work productively in global and culturally diverse settings.

Global Programs is happy to feature Professor Gilles Bousquet for our December Global Engagement Event. Professor Bousquet specializes in French for business and economics, was formerly Dean and Vice Provost International at UW-Madison and Interim Chancellor of UW-Eau Claire, and is Senior Advisor to the President of the UW System for International Economic Development.

This event will be held in Room 1140 Grainger Hall.
