Joseph Betlej leads the Real Asset Income Team at Securian Asset Management. He has been active in the real estate industry since 1984. He entered the securities industry when joining Securian in 1987. Mr. Betlej’s experience includes investing in public and private placement commercial real estate equity and debt for client accounts, in addition to other equity income securities for client accounts. Mr. Betlej is a CFA Charterholder. He is also a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Minnesota. Joseph is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a Master of Science in Real Estate Appraisal and Investment Analysis. Additionally, he has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Minnesota. He also is a member of the James A. Graaskamp Center’s Applied Real Estate Investment Tract (AREIT) Advisory Board.
