Mary Muldowney is currently the Vice President of North America Sourcing supporting NAR, NAF and PET. Mary is responsible for translating business needs into Sourcing actions and ensuring alignment between the Segment and Sourcing strategies to enable short- and long-term objectives. A key part of this role is to ensure Sourcing enables continued strong engagement and transparency with the Segments to deliver world-class value creation and service to enable growth.
Mary has worked at General Mills for 14 years. She progressed through different Sourcing roles of increasing capacity, leading teams in Commodities, Dairy, Value Added Ingredients and Agriculture, as well as Market Insights and Risk Management.
Prior to General Mills, Mary worked for Cargill across the Midwest and Wayzata headquarters in grain origination, trading, and supply chain. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Asian Studies from Northwestern University.
Mary lives in Edina, MN with her husband, Paul, and her two young boys, Jack (9) and Billy (7). Outside of work, Mary enjoys family trips, cooking, trying to golf, and watching her boys play all kinds of sports – including caddying for them on the weekend!
