The Society for Marketing Advances (SMA) recently recognized Craig Thompson, the Gilbert & Helen Churchill Professor of Marketing at the Wisconsin School of Business, with its highest honor, the 2014 Distinguished Marketing Scholar Award.
Presented to only one recipient annually, the award seeks to congratulate scholars on their depth of insights and contributions to literature in the areas of consumer research and marketing. Professor Thompson consistently ranks among the most highly cited scholars in those fields, with published articles in journals such as the Journal of Consumer Research, the Journal of Public Policy & Marketing, and Advances in Consumer Research.
Professor Thompson accepted the award on November 7 at the SMA 2014 Annual Conference, which brings together marketing faculty and professionals from the United States and abroad.
