Post-master’s career goal:
Advisory (subset of accounting)
Why choose Wisconsin?
The decision for me to go the MAcc route through the WSB was a relatively easy one in that I have been fortunate enough to have made so many crucial personal and professional connections imperative to my academic and career growth, and I knew that staying in Madison would only allow for me to foster an even deeper relationship with those that have already done so much to help me succeed!
Advice:
My biggest piece of advice would be to utilize the vast resources at their disposal! The WSB and UW, in general, really pour a lot of time and effort into providing students with the tools they need to succeed both in the classroom and beyond and that is far and away one of the premier things that has helped me along on my journey to the program and should also aid beyond graduation, too! Probably the biggest “tool” for me, though, was the people. From faculty and staff starting with the MSABA/MAcc Program Director Katharine Widlak, to the various accounting professors I’ve been fortunate enough to have had classes with, to even my peers, everyone has been so supportive of my unique pathway to where I am today and these connections have certainly helped me achieve academic and career goals I never thought I would have!
Fun fact:
I’ve completed a handful of half marathons in my life including most recently this past May!
