Business Badger Badges have been created to identify pathways that combine workshops, experiences, and reflection opportunities designed to provide a deeper level of understanding and practice with certain skills/competencies. By completing specific criteria for each track, students can earn digital badges in the categories of Personal Leadership Styles and/or Group Dynamics. These badges serve as virtual credentials that can be showcased via personal profile, social media (LinkedIn), and shared with potential employers as a way to help you articulate the skills you have gained from completing the badge criteria.
Personal Leadership Styles Badge Description:
Leadership incorporates a set of skills and behaviors that can be learned and expressed regardless of a positional role. In order to influence others, one must first examine their own beliefs, values, emotions, and cultural context they bring to a group. Building off of the introduction to leadership theories from the Personal and Professional Foundations of Business (PPFB) course, content related to this badge will help students further explore their own strengths and interpersonal styles, while enhancing their ability to recognize and adapt to different styles of others.

Group Dynamics Badge Description:
Being a good team member and the ability to manage teams of people are some of the top skills needed in today’s collaborative work environments. Content for this badge will provide a deeper understanding of group dynamics and focus on competencies related to collaboration and supporting the learning and development of others. Students who complete this badge should be able to work well within a team structure, negotiate & manage conflict within a group, and have some tools available to develop & motivate others.
