Nicole Thomas has earned a reputation as an agile, capable leader. She is the Human Insights Director for the Marketing Transformation Team with a focus on consumer experience, personalization and consumer-level data (i.e. big data). She is also the co-lead for Inclusion & Diversity for the Clorox Marketing function. Prior to her current role, Nicole uncovered pivotal insights to drive business results across brands. She won a David Ogilvy Award for her advertising research on Clorox Bleach.
Nicole has 18 years of professional experience spanning both technology and marketing roles. Nicole earned undergraduate degrees in architecture and computer science from Florida A&M University and the University of Michigan, respectively. After graduation, she began her career as a network engineer with Motorola. To amplify her business acumen, Nicole then earned an MBA from the University of Michigan with a focus on marketing and social entrepreneurship.
Nicole enjoys volunteering for various organizations with a focus on children and education. She volunteers for Management Leadership for Tomorrow to help under-represented minorities reach upper-management roles. Nicole has long-served on the Clorox marketing recruiting team for U of M and has led the Business Insights Committee for Clorox’s Black Employee Resource Group. Nicole has an adventurous and collaborative spirit which can be seen inside and outside the workplace. She is unafraid to grow and to face challenges in unique ways. Nicole and her husband Scott have two dynamic children who keep them on their toes.
