Ray Young is a Senior Director of Asset Management with CBRE Investment Management and is based in Los Angeles. He is responsible for the asset management of the company’s industrial properties in major markets across the western United States. CBRE Investment Management is a global real assets investment management firm with $133.1 billion in assets under management as of September 30, 2021.
Previously, Ray was employed by Cohen Asset Management (“CAM”), where he was Senior Vice President charged with overseeing the operations for the company’s Arizona and California industrial holdings. He was responsible for implementing the investment strategy and the business plan adopted for each investment by overseeing the strategic, operational, and financial management of each property to maximize investor returns. Prior to joining CAM, Ray spent 17 years with International Airport Centers (“IAC”) holding the position of Managing Director. During his tenure with IAC, Ray oversaw a portfolio of 33 direct-owned, institutional-quality industrial properties in seven states with a gross asset value of more than $1 billion.
Mr. Young holds a B.A. in History from Wesleyan University and an MBA in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Additionally, he is a current member of the Advisory Board for the University of Wisconsin Graaskamp Center for Real Estate and veteran of the U.S. Army.
