I am a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison where I received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing as well as a German Certificate in spring 2024. Originally from Milwaukee, I have been playing instruments since the age of 7. My interest in music making continued with me through college, where I was a member of the UW Marching Band. In order to merge my background in music and interest in business, I thought the Master of Arts Business: Arts and Creative Enterprise Leadership degree through the Bolz Center for Arts Administration seemed a good fit.
Currently in the Bolz Center, I am working with the UW-Madison Summer Music Clinic (SMC) for my applied learning placement on a variety of projects. First, I’m helping do statistical research regarding post program evaluations. With this information, I am helping provide insights to help develop programming for the next year. I am also helping SMC work on grant writing projects. Lastly, I am preparing marketing lists as well as outreach materials to send to prospective students to promote enrollment for this upcoming summer program. This past November, I also helped deliver the Mini Band Clinic held on campus.
Following my time at the Bolz Center, I wish to pursue a career in youth/pre-college programming. By beginning work with a university, I seek to become the director of a pre-college program, hopefully one dealing with the arts. As the child of two educators, I want to continue in my parents’ footsteps and help guide youth as they decide what type of person they want to become. Through the power of music and the arts, I see this as a powerful pursuit to impact many lives.
