Students in the Risk Management and Insurance MBA Class of 2025 have found internships specific to their areas of interest, and are immersed in putting their first-year courses to a real-world test. Following are quick summaries of what they are doing this summer.
Hernan Burgos:
“As a member of the marine broking team at Chicago’s Aon location, I am engaging with a variety of clients and gaining insights into risk assessment strategies specific to the maritime industry. This experience is vastly increasing my understanding of the industry’s trends, challenges, and opportunities.”
Caroline McCloskey:
“This summer I’m working on Lockton’s Client Executive Team in NYC where I’ve used my RMI experience and education to help assess risks for some of Lockton’s largest clients. I’ve enjoyed learning more about the brokerage side of insurance and deepening my knowledge of how to manage risk in various industries.”
Fritz Merizon:
“I am deepening my early-stage investing experience while interning at American Family Ventures in Madison, WI. Leveraging insights from my WSB coursework, earlier career, and the Creative Destruction Lab, I am effectively evaluating and researching emerging insurtech investment opportunities.”
We can’t wait to hear all about their experiences when they return for their final year of the program.
