EntrepreNews

Spring 2021

Greetings Alumni and Friends of the Weinert Center,

We have another semester of successful activities behind us, and we would like to share several of the highlights. In this newsletter, you can find updates about our programs such as the WAVE Practicum, Creative Destruction Lab (CDL), and Entrepreneurship Science Lab (ESL).

We are thrilled with the establishment of the Goldberg Family Endowed Directorship for Dan Olszewski. Dan’s contributions to the school, university, and the community are exemplary and we are proud and honored to have him on our team.

We would like to share the news about the establishment of the LÜM Scholarship in the Creative Arts and Entrepreneurship in Honor of Sherry Wagner-Henry. Sherry made a difference in many students’ lives and we miss her dearly.

I invite you to read more details about these and other stories about our students, alums, and board members.

As we emerge from the grip of the pandemic, we look forward to interacting with our students in-person in the fall semester. The last eighteen months has showed us that, as Albert Einstein said in the early 20th century, “in the middle to difficulty lies opportunity”. Entrepreneurship is at the center of turning problems into solutions. We are proud to play our role in this process and we are thankful to have you as partners on our journey.

Thank you and have a great summer!

Martin
