Marketing & Strategic Communications (MSC)
The Marketing and Strategic Communications unit is the full-service, in-house marketing and communications agency of the Wisconsin School of Business. MSC offers expertise in communication strategy, marketing, brand identity, marketing research, editorial content, web development, user experience, digital accessibility, public relations, social media, design, and photography.
MSC has been recognized by the American Advertising Federation with eleven ADDY awards.

Services We Provide
Strategy and Consultancy
Development of marketing plans and communication strategies to help achieve business goals
Paid Media
Media planning and media buying of advertising for awareness and conversion across media, including print, social, search, digital, and out of home
Writing and Editing
Copywriting for marketing tactics, including ads, brochures, email marketing, in addition to copyediting and proofing projects
Content Marketing
Editorial writing and journalistic-style, storytelling feature writing/editing and proofreading of editorial content to engage key audiences
Graphic Design
Brand-centered professional design/layout capabilities for marketing collateral and brochures, School beautification, event marketing, newsletters, alumni magazine, advertising, and logos/brand identity
Photography
Approved WSB event coverage to build School’s photo library and use for design, social media, and PR efforts
PR and News
Reaching out to the news media to share the School’s stories on faculty research, programs, educational innovations, and economic development
Social Media
Connecting with key stakeholders and the public to develop School/brand awareness, build community, and enhance reputation
Videography
Production or oversight of the production of video content to promote WSB programs, student and alumni success stories, and faculty excellence
Web Development
Development and guidance for the look, feel, content, and experience of the external-facing website, promoting a coordinated, consistent, and impactful online presence.

Awards and Honors
The team at the Wisconsin School of Business has won two 2018 ADDY awards, five 2017 ADDY awards, and four 2016 ADDYs from the American Advertising Federation. The ADDYs are the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition with the mission of recognizing and rewarding creative excellence in the art of advertising.
The team was recognized in a field of more than 400 entries by more than 300 companies and organizations from Milwaukee and Madison/Dane County. The regional competition of District 8 includes hundreds of agencies and organizations in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
