One of the leading websites covering the world’s best business schools, Poets & Quants, profiled the Wisconsin School of Business in an in-depth feature on the School’s unique learning model KDBIN™, which stands for Knowing, Doing, Being, Inspiring, and Networking.
In the article, “Wisconsin’s Business School Bets On A Novel MBA Approach,” François Ortalo-Magné, Albert O. Nicholas Dean of the Wisconsin School of Business, explains the strategy behind KDBIN and how it’s positively impacted student learning.
“A big part of the conversation at the Wisconsin School of Business is thinking through what our learning outcomes should be and how we’re organized to deliver them,” he says. “Too often schools will rely on brilliant individuals to teach and inspire students with little regard to the other influences students encounter in their MBA education. This ‘go your own way and teach just what needs to be taught’ philosophy is what we are trying to change. We are asking our faculty and staff to think and work together to reconsider learning outcomes.”
The article also includes quotes from four leaders in the Full-Time MBA Program: Chip Hunter, senior associate dean; Elizabeth Odders-White, associate dean; Blair Sanford, assistant dean; and Will Wait, director of admissions.
