MBA Graduation Year: 2019
Current Job: President, BNLSoft Corp

The Wisconsin Executive MBA Program is helping me expand my business. As founder and president of BNLSoft Corp, I work with several clients to get long term IT contracts and work with staff to deliver products. I’m involved in all HR and finance roles. I wanted to learn business strategies to expand my company to other areas outside my comfort zone.

The program’s flexible every-other-weekend schedule was key to my decision. Learning within a group of high-achieving professionals was more important to me than what an online program might offer. A structured program that is flexible to my work schedule is what I was looking for, and this program met all my needs perfectly.

Every business professional should take our second-year negotiations course. I loved every project we did in that class. Emotions, strategy, marketing, financials, execution, and teamwork were all involved.

Having business law and entrepreneurship classes at the same time helped a lot as well. You get to learn how to start a new company and learn about venture capital and all the laws involved. It was a great learning experience.

Learning from each other is the biggest strength of this program. When you join the program, students get divided into teams. This process is excellent. You change teams for the second year, and this helps to adjust and learn from a different set of experts. We get to see other spectrums of experts which we normally don’t get to experience much at work.

I ran for public office due to the confidence I gained from the program. Even though I did not win the race, this gave me lot of experience which I can apply to future campaigns.

Our global experience course shows you the huge potential for business in other parts of the world. You have the opportunity to speak to government officials, private companies, and expats that do business in other countries. This experience definitely helped me think about expanding my business outside of the U.S.
