Nicholas Center New York City Trip

In the second week of April, 16 Nicholas Center students traveled to Manhattan to meet and network with several influential finance professionals and participate in various cultural and social activities. Our agenda included:

  3. Talking AI and data analytics with IBM Watson
  4. Closing bell ceremony at the NYSE
  5. Networking with over 100 UW alums at the Badgers in Finance event at Carnegie Hall
  6. Talking systematic trading with The D.E. Shaw Group
  7. Talking real estate investing with The Blackstone Group
  8. Talking equity research and investment banking with Bank of America Merrill Lynch
  9. Talking blockchain and the future of capital markets with ConsenSys
  10. Talking markets and war stories with John J. Oros and Paul Leff
  11. Private tour of the New York Federal Reserve (including the gold vault!)
  12. Networking with CFIB alums
  13. Lunch at Hudson Eats!
