Every Wednesday, students flock to the Weinert Center for their chance to listen to and learn from entrepreneurs and business leaders. The Distinguished Entrepreneurs Lunch Program began in Fall 2013 and since then has grown to become one of the most popular weekly events at the Business School. As part of the program, the Weinert Center invites local experts in entrepreneurship to share their stories with and field questions from current students across all levels and disciplines within the university.
One aspiration of the Distinguished Entrepreneurs Lunch Program is that students will be encouraged to pursue entrepreneurship as a career path after graduation. Students from all backgrounds attend the events, ranging from those with zero business education to those with past experiences starting their own companies. Regardless of the students’ backgrounds, the program is a great opportunity for them to learn about entrepreneurship from people who have gone down that path. The speakers are encouraged to share both their successes and failures, and offer lessons that they have learned along the way.
This Fall we hosted 10 lunches that drew over 300 students. We are grateful for all of our featured entrepreneurs who volunteered to speak to our students. Check out the terrific lineup for the Distinguished Entrepreneurs Lunch Program in the Spring semester here!
We graciously thank Neider & Boucher, S.C. for their sponsorship and support of the Distinguished Entrepreneurs Lunch Program!
