Fall 2024
Greetings Alumni and Friends of the Weinert Center,
As we celebrate the vibrant season of fall, we are delighted to share the latest news and achievements from the Weinert Center. This year is particularly special as we mark the 25th Anniversary of the Weinert Center, a milestone that underscores our enduring commitment to fostering entrepreneurial education on our campus and beyond. We had a memorable celebration of this event on Friday, September 13th.
In this newsletter, we highlight the Wisconsin Entrepreneurs Showcase, an event that continues to inspire and connect our entrepreneurial community. We are excited to introduce our new MBA Fellowship Class of 2025 and feature a profile on Adina Locketz, a student entrepreneur making significant strides in her side business. Additionally, we are thrilled to announce that our very own Dan Olszewski, Goldberg Family Director of the Weinert Center, received the Excellence in Entrepreneurial Education (Triple E) award on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at the Early Stage Symposium given out by the Wisconsin Technology Council. Congratulations Dan! It is a well-deserved honor.
Our StartUp Learning Community remains a hub of creativity and innovation, with events like the 100-Hour Challenge, led by Sari Judge, Program Manager, showcasing the incredible talent of our students. We are also thrilled to welcome Zach Ellis, Jr. as a new WAVE board member. He will bring a wide range of great entrepreneurial experiences to the group..
This is an exciting time for entrepreneurship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Chancellor Jennifer Mnookin’s vision to integrate entrepreneurial thinking into our education system is gaining momentum, and the Weinert Center is proud to be at the forefront of this initiative. We are actively collaborating with various stakeholders across campus to bring this vision to life.
We invite you to read these stories and see firsthand the impact of your support. Thank you for your unwavering commitment and the vital role you play in our mission to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Wishing you a wonderful fall season!
Sincerely,
Martin
