The tailored program at Wisconsin is exactly what I need to fill in knowledge gaps and fast- track my marketing career. I am building a broad business foundation for a career in brand management, surrounded by students from completely different backgrounds who are committed to excelling in brand management careers.

The collaboration at Wisconsin really stands out. Everyone is very driven, but we are not competing against each other.
Faculty and classmates are always quick to offer help if you need it. This experience of fostering a collaborative environment is something I will take with me into the workplace.

The experiential learning project with Scott Cook, the founder of Intuit, has been one of my favorites.
We leveraged a process called rapid prototyping. This exercise showed us a valuable way to get products and innovations to consumers to observe interactions prior to final product development.

The Graduate Marketing Network case competition was a great challenge and a tremendous opportunity to hone my leadership and negotiating skills. We got a case at 4 p.m. on a Thursday, worked through the night, and presented a recommendation the next morning. It was a real stretch that tested my negotiating and people skills. Another place to grow my leadership skills has been as a board member for Net Impact, a campus group that focuses on sustainability and corporate social responsibility. This group gives students tangible sustainability strategies they can bring to their future employers.

Alumni support has exceeded my expectations and is a unique asset in the program.
As a brand student, I have access to a group of high-powered marketing executives from a wide range of industries who are tremendously invested in my success. Alumni are always eager to help with mock interviews, career conversations, offer evaluations, or will set up industry network connections that would otherwise take years to build.
