Why did you choose the Wisconsin MBA?
I chose the Wisconsin MBA program because it offered a specialization in Strategic Human Resource Management. The other schools I looked into in Wisconsin, did not offer the option to receive an MBA with a specialization and instead offered either an MBA or a Master’s degree in a certain field. This was extremely important to me because I knew I wanted to strengthen my business foundation, as well as my knowledge in human resources. I received my undergraduate degree from UW-Madison and I knew that if I were to ever go back to school, it would be at Wisconsin. The fact that the program matched exactly what I was looking for and the impressive ROI statistics only further confirmed that I had made the right decision.

What advice would you give to prospective students?
If I were to give a prospective student advice when considering the Wisconsin MBA Program, the first piece of advice I would give is to ask questions! The admissions committee is here to help and no questions should be left unanswered when making such a big decision. My second and third piece of advice would be to research the program and tour the campus (taking into account COVID restrictions). By researching the program you will be able to compare it to other schools and highlight what is most important to you in a graduate program. Personally, researching and creating list of pros and cons was extremely helpful for me, as a lot of information can become overwhelming. Touring the campus whether it be virtually or in person, provides you the opportunity to see where you will have classes and where you will be spending most of your time. Whether you do school in-person or online, seeing the campus provides a visual that you can hold on to while researching other schools. Overall, choosing a graduate program is a huge decision to make and using your resources will help ensure you make the right decision!
