Spring 2022
Greetings Alumni and Friends of the Weinert Center,
Spring is in the air, and I hope you are enjoying the warmer weather! In this newsletter, we would like to share several exciting news and highlights of our recent activities.
In early May, we had a productive WAVE Advisory Board meeting. It was great having the advisory board and students meet in person and reconnect after being virtual last year! It is also exciting that two of the WAVE projects have been named finalists in the Wisconsin Governor’s Business Plan Contest. Our community is growing and stronger than ever.
Our Initiative for Studies in Transformational Entrepreneurship (INSITE) has recently hosted the 2022 Great Lakes Entrepreneurship Network conference. The conference brought together almost thirty scholars and students of entrepreneurship and featured panels and lively discussions. Special thanks go to Dr. Florence Honore and John Surdyk for organizing this successful event! Stay tuned to hear more about the conference in the summer newsletter!
I invite you to read stories about our students, alums, and board members. Thank you for your support, engagement and making our mission possible!
Sincerely,
Martin
